…Gotta meet the new boss by 8 a.m. The phone rings in the car. The wife is workin’ hard, She’s running late tonight again. Well I know what I’ve been told, You got to work to feed the soul
But I can’t do this all on my own No, I know, I’m no Superman…” -Lazlo Bane. I am no Superman.

A day without faith.
Can you imagine that? Just one day you loose what you hold most important in your heart. Every Christian whether they want to admit it or not has lost their faith, some for months, some for weeks, days, or hours. Loosing your faith is one of the worst experiences of your entire life and at these particular points in time makes or breaks you as a Christian. Your loved one dies, you get fired from work, a dog bit you, a relationship didn’t work out ect, ect…When any of these things happen it is horrible and everybody has there breaking point, it depends on the individual. These are the times when you look up to God and say “I PRAYED Lord for my loved one, or my job, my dog, my girlfriend/boyfriend and you didn’t come through. Why didn’t you help me Lord? Why was that innocent person meant to suffer?” This is when some people just fold under it all, or even a reason they don’t even want to be a Christian, bad things that happen to good people. You loose your faith, question God and walk away. How are you able to come back? How do you find your faith again? Maybe through prayer, maybe reading the Word, maybe through a friend. Loosing your faith even temporarily happened to many prominent figures throughout the Bible. David questioned God while He was running away from King Saul. The disciples lost there faith while riding in a boat, during a storm WITH Christ:

Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” Matthew 8:23-27 NKJV

I have learned throughout my Christian walk is that everything has a reason. Why do the innocent suffer, why do bad things happen to good people, here’s the only thing I can say to that.

The righteous perish,
and no one ponders it in his heart;
devout men are taken away,
and no one understands
that the righteous are taken away
to be spared from evil.

Those who walk uprightly
enter into peace;
they find rest as they lie in death. - Isaiah 57:1-2

God takes the righteous home to spare them from the evils of this life. Are you getting the picture? Maybe it wasn’t God that sabotaging your relationship with your girlfriend/boyfriend, He has someone else for you and 100 times better. Maybe the reason you lost your job is that God has a better one for you. Or just maybe God is testing your faith. I will leave you with this Job was a righteous man, he prayed and sacraficed every day, he even sacraficed for his children just incase they sinned and he didn’t know. God gave Satan power over Job to test Job’s faith, after Job’s children all were killed, possessions taken and he was covered in boils. This is what Job said.

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the LORD.” - Job 1:21

What I am trying to say even if you have lost your faith, look at what God has done for you in your life, how in the world could you loose your faith. Don’t doubt, pray.

Faith and not a day without it.

*by loosing your faith, I also mean doubting your faith.

…At the mongrel dogs who teach. Fearing not that I’d become my enemy, In the instant that I preach. My pathway led by confusion boats Mutiny from stern to bow. Ah, but I was so much older then, I’m younger than that now. -My Back Pages.
-Bob Dylan, 1964.

As far as the flippantcy of this mornings wake up call to me I would just like to say: Growl. On this fine day in the year of our Lord, September, 26, 2005 I was woken up by the sound of a fire alarm. Some jerk felt it was necessary to pull it as a laugh. No one this morning standing outside in the cold fog thought it was funny. For me, I bethink upon the trajedy as a goo of my former past as a youth. I can recall having to do mindless firedrills in grade school on up through to high school. The only difference between then and now is that back then I loved to get sent out of my class during a work day, now…if someone sets off that alarm again at 7:00 am, I am going to cut their man berries off.

*Streamers and such….*

That’s right this month celebrates the one year anniversary of The Whimsical World of Mahutaville. I remember how this place (and gloryfish.org) was birthed in a little apartment on Oak St., in Plattsburgh, NY. My blogg one year ago was the brainchild of my webmaster and best friend, Jay Roberts. Jay and I decided we would need a way of communicating to one another since I would be away living in Albany, NY. The blogg first was produced in its early state of exsistence of September 1st, 2004. Over the span of a year gloryfish.org was developed and moved onward and so did: The Whimsical World of Mahutaville. I changed servers and now am almost working independently from blogger to gloryfish.org. As you can see everything has evolved the fonts, the template and more importantly my lifeI read my early posts and I am suprised on how I have developed as a person over the short span of a year…love lost and found spiritual ups and downs and friends gained and lossed, though all of this I believe *The Whimsical World of Mahutaville is a testament to an individual overcoming the human condition. So happy birthday Mahutaville, here’s to many more.

*So what if I like to toot my own horn…every once in a while.

It occurs to me on ocassion that some people have a nack for being a thorn in the side of another human being. By some people I mean a certain, selected few who can just paw at you until you snap. After exhaustive ammount of research my technicians and I have come up with the most irritating human in all of history. This man’s name is Sean Penn. Whether it is putting his sour puss on any human relations problem to adding his political views where they don’t belong…The one the only, the douchebag. That is all.

“Gazing upon red square, I watch the snowflakes fall from the western wind and the tomb shutter loudly and there stands the man who brought power and conformity to all Mother Russia. Hail!” -My Junkie Man Tale, B.D.M.

You ever get that feeling it’s going to be a weird day? You know? Those days where you get up and feel the uncanny sense that whatever you had planned today was about to open the next window they see and jump! Greetings and Salutations you just entered my 24 hour twighlight zone. I hope you enjoy sit back and relax and the attendants serve you. Nothing is going the way it usually goes my roomy left early, I have a quiz in Portugese and I had that weird thought of Lenin coming out of his grave to take his vengence upon democracy (see above). I have a solution to my problem though, no, not about Lenin but about being ready to take on a weird day. Pray.

I know this isn’t a normal post but, its not a normal day.

“Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.”- Matthew 24:4o-42

“...They say ev’ry man must fall.Yet I swear I see my reflection, Some place so high above this wall. I see my light come shining From the west unto the east. Any day now, any day now, I shall be released…” I Shall Be Released.

Why doubt God?
Answer: Stupidity.

It’s been another long week in Albany… My loan money for school has still yet to come in. I have no meal plan, money for books, gas ect…and I have been praying to God,”Please Lord I need the money, I need food and books!” and I get no other answer but “Do you trust me?” My answer is always “yes” then with an added “but…”. Before I went to bed though I was talking to Jenny (not Bambi, my Jenny) on the phone and we were talking about God and trust issues. I decided this night as I was praying to say “okay Lord, you know my needs, help. Good night.” This morning I woke up at 7:30am like I asked the Lord to help me do and I got all my homework done for the day. Later on this afternoon after class I needed to buy Gasoline, food for lunch and a book for class all in under 1.5 hours (driving in Albany you would know this is no small miracle to ask the Lord.) I was able to buy lunch, (I have literally very little money) and when I went to buy the book I was expecting to pay $35.00 +, it turned out to be $9.00 bucks and when I headed to the gas pump, I filled my tank for $16.00 and that was after I drove from Plattsburgh to Albany and drove to guilderland. On top of all of this I went to park and there was nowhere to park and I needed to review for my Constitutional law class. I drove around for ten minutes with nothing and finally I said “Lord, I need a close spot to park, thank you, Amen.” In that moment, a car pulled out in front of me and it was right at one of the closest spots I could park in. On top of all of this my back hurt this morning from sleeping on it wrong, I casually asked Him “Lord thank you for healing my back” BOOM! the pain is gone.

If you learn to trust God with the little things, you realize that nothing is too big for God. Whether its healing your body from disease or helping you find a parking spot.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.” -Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” - Matthew 17:20 NKJV

…Ring them bells so the world will know That God is one.Oh the shepherd is asleep, Where the willows weep, And the mountains are filled With lost sheep…” Ring them Bells.
-Bob Dylan 1989.

I was driving through the adirondacks earlier this week, it’s a gorgeous time to tour the area the trees are green, the sun is shining and the grass is tall. As I was traveling through to get back to Albany it made me think about Bob Dylan’s song Ring them Bells.
The entire song is about witnessing the love of God to the lost. I know that I personally haven’t been doing it as much as I should. In this day in age We Christians have become so politically correct that we are afraid to tell people that we even are Christians, to share the Word or proclaiming sin to be sin for example, we are afraid now to say that homosexuality is wrong or taking a pro-life stance. I am sick of it, you know, man up! Stand up and proclaim truth, stop hiding you weak-hearted brethren and get out there! Show the world that Christ is in you. Remember the great commission wasn’t a request it was a command.

And He [Jesus] said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” - Mark 16:15-18

“Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.[e] But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary[f] and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” - Matthew 9:35-38

Man up Christian.

*I know this isn’t my normal type of post. I am feeling very zealous and angry at the Christian body and I wanted to get it down for everyone to see. This isn’t against every Christian its against the Sissy, Mary Lou, Lame-asses (including me).
