"Out the door just in time, Head down the 405…

…Gotta meet the new boss by 8 a.m. The phone rings in the car. The wife is workin’ hard, She’s running late tonight again. Well I know what I’ve been told, You got to work to feed the soul
But I can’t do this all on my own No, I know, I’m no Superman…” -Lazlo Bane. I am no Superman.

A day without faith.
Can you imagine that? Just one day you loose what you hold most important in your heart. Every Christian whether they want to admit it or not has lost their faith, some for months, some for weeks, days, or hours. Loosing your faith is one of the worst experiences of your entire life and at these particular points in time makes or breaks you as a Christian. Your loved one dies, you get fired from work, a dog bit you, a relationship didn’t work out ect, ect…When any of these things happen it is horrible and everybody has there breaking point, it depends on the individual. These are the times when you look up to God and say “I PRAYED Lord for my loved one, or my job, my dog, my girlfriend/boyfriend and you didn’t come through. Why didn’t you help me Lord? Why was that innocent person meant to suffer?” This is when some people just fold under it all, or even a reason they don’t even want to be a Christian, bad things that happen to good people. You loose your faith, question God and walk away. How are you able to come back? How do you find your faith again? Maybe through prayer, maybe reading the Word, maybe through a friend. Loosing your faith even temporarily happened to many prominent figures throughout the Bible. David questioned God while He was running away from King Saul. The disciples lost there faith while riding in a boat, during a storm WITH Christ:

Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” Matthew 8:23-27 NKJV

I have learned throughout my Christian walk is that everything has a reason. Why do the innocent suffer, why do bad things happen to good people, here’s the only thing I can say to that.

The righteous perish,
and no one ponders it in his heart;
devout men are taken away,
and no one understands
that the righteous are taken away
to be spared from evil.

Those who walk uprightly
enter into peace;
they find rest as they lie in death. - Isaiah 57:1-2

God takes the righteous home to spare them from the evils of this life. Are you getting the picture? Maybe it wasn’t God that sabotaging your relationship with your girlfriend/boyfriend, He has someone else for you and 100 times better. Maybe the reason you lost your job is that God has a better one for you. Or just maybe God is testing your faith. I will leave you with this Job was a righteous man, he prayed and sacraficed every day, he even sacraficed for his children just incase they sinned and he didn’t know. God gave Satan power over Job to test Job’s faith, after Job’s children all were killed, possessions taken and he was covered in boils. This is what Job said.

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the LORD.” - Job 1:21

What I am trying to say even if you have lost your faith, look at what God has done for you in your life, how in the world could you loose your faith. Don’t doubt, pray.

Faith and not a day without it.

*by loosing your faith, I also mean doubting your faith.
